IN ORDER to be prepared for Christmas, we have pulled together some handy hints to help you feel less stressed before the big day...
Keep A Diary
With so much happening throughout the festive season, it’s good to plan-ahead but don’t rely on memory alone. Whether it’s the nativity play, last-post dates or when to pick up the turkey, a to-do list diary is the perfect solution to the busy festive period.
Now is the perfect time to have a declutter before everyone descends on you for Christmas and you say ‘hello’ to a mass of new toys and gifts. Clear out all unused and unwanted items you’ve collected over the last 12 months and donate them to a local charity.
Make A Gift List
You may have gifts to buy for all the family, so to make sure you get everything (and stick to a budget!) make a list before you head out to the shops and tick them off as you buy them. If you’re feeling super organised, plan it on Excel.
Log-on before you head out to the shops to research prices and availability. Some retailers, including Boots and Wilko offer a click & collect service so you can order online and simply pick your gifts up in store at Castlegate – a great time saving option.
Food & Drink
Decide in advance what food and drink you may need over the festive period and start early by buying all the non-perishable products. Bear in mind, that many food shops are only closed for a couple of days so don’t get carried away and buy 20 loaves of bread!
