OVER HALLOWEEN half-term we re-opened the doors to one of the North East’s best-known haunting buildings for an escape room with a ghostly twist.
In a terrifying twinning we teamed up with escape room specialist Enigma and invited visitors to trap themselves in the abandoned Stephenson House – along with its resident ghostly inhabitants.
As one of the very few interactive Halloween events that went ahead, we invited over 150 brave souls to our escape room with less then half being able to solve the puzzles in the time to help release the spirts!
Cara Porritt who attended with her family bubble loved the haunting experience.
She said: “We had a frighteningly fun time finding the clues, solving the puzzles and learning all about the history of Castlegate and it’s ghostly inhabitants!”
