Jalapeno Poppers
Add spice to mozzarella dippers with this quick movie night-in recipe. Using a small sharp knife, make an incision along the length of the chilli and scrape out the seeds and membrane – don’t forget to wear gloves and wash your hands thoroughly after!  Mix cream cheese with mozzarella, fill-up the chillies and close them up. After battering the chillies and shallow-frying, season them with salt and pepper and ta-da!

Chilli Chocolate Stew
Add extra richness to this winter warmer with dark chocolate. Start by browning the meat in a large flameproof casserole dish and add in veg. Stir in spices, chilli and flour then pour in red wine, stock, herbs and chopped tomatoes. Cover with a lid and pop in the oven for 90 minutes then remove the lid and cook until the meat is tender. Finish off by stirring in dark chocolate and serve with crusty warm bread.

Go retro with this super simple albeit a bit odd dessert! Pick up a pack of strawberry jelly, make up with boiling water until it’s dissolved and leave to cool. Grab a tin of evaporated milk and when the jelly is nearly set add the milk and beat on slow (and then medium-high as it thickens) in a stand mixer for 5 to 10 minutes. Leave it to set and serve with squirty cream!
