Picnic in the Park

27th April, 2019

WITH MAY Day Bank Holiday this weekend we think it’s the perfect time for a picnic!

So whether you’re off to Preston Park for a picnic by the River Tees, organising a teddy bear’s picnic in your garden or simply fancy a quick-fix fun tea check out our top tips.

Finger Food

Hollaback to picnics of yesteryear with Poundland and their range of retro snacks including Salt & Vinegar Chipsticks and Bacon Frazzles.

Don’t forget plenty of refreshing drinks – stop by Home Bargains for bottles of peach-flavoured water for only 29p!

Top Tip: Only pack as much food as you think you’ll need to save yourself carrying extra weight when looking for somewhere to sit.

Easy Essentials

A picnic cooler is a must-have for keeping your drinks cool and B&M have funky-coloured cooler bags which will keep food fresh on hot days.

Eat your picnic in style with this easy tray from Poundland which will fit all your food, drink and even cutlery into!

Top Tip: Picnics can be messy so take wipes and bin bags with you to help clear up.

Fantastic Fun

If your kids want to step into Rory Mcilroy’s shoes then this kid’s golf set is a must-buy from Wilko.

Easy to set-up and quick to go, kites are perfect for any summer picnic, all together now Lets Go Fly A Kite and we love this stunt kite from B&M!

Top Tip: If there are other families sat around ask them to get involved in the fun – the more the merrier!
