CASTLEGATE SHARED and sparkled this past Christmas as we invited choirs to entertain shoppers, raised over £3000 for charity and took plenty of elfie selfies!
Local primary school pupils took the stage throughout December performing funky festive favourites and classic Christmas carols. Shoppers loved joining in and donated generously to school funds.
Our Elfie Selfie Station was extremely popular with hundreds of people enjoying our Elf Photo Pod. From toddlers to pensioners, everyone enjoyed popping on a prop, getting inside and taking a pic. Our winner was Elton John-inspired little Noah who won a £100 gift card, just in time for his birthday!
Family fun was also had at our Christmas Craft workshops. Held throughout the month, children got creative and designed a whole host of festive items including Elf Houses, Felt Stockings and Gingerbread Decorations.
Children loved being able to meet Santa at the Castlegate Christmas Grotto. 1800 kids were welcomed through the doors to meet the big man himself, helping us to raise £2993 for charity.
Finally, we were delighted to deliver over 200 gifts to Middlesbrough & Teesside Philanthropic Foundation. Thanks to donations from our tenants, staff and customers we made up over 50 goodie bags and boxes chock-full of surprises which were handed out to kinship families across Teesside.
Thank you to all who helped us celebrate Christmas at Castlegate and we hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating with friends and family.
