Heartfelt Giving From Castlegate Customers

The generous giving came in the form of £1 donations to visit Santa in his Grotto raising £2,213 for Teesside Philanthropic Foundation. A further £2,069 was donated to the Butterwick Hospice’s Tree of Remembrance bringing the grand total raised in less than 5 weeks to £4,282.
Centre Manager, Karen Eve said of the customer success, “As a shopping centre we know first hand that Christmas is a time of year when most families will have to shop within limited budgets. Our customers have shown exceptional good will for others.”
Title winners of both the local and regional North East Business Awards’ ‘Heart of the Community’, the centre recently went on to win Gold at the CIPR PRide Awards (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) in recognition of their community giving.
Commenting further Karen said: “An astounding sum of money has been raised by local people, for local people – we are exceptionally grateful to all those who donated.”
